What’s new in React?
React is a continuously evolving library in the ever-changing web development landscape. As you embark on your journey to learn and master React, it’s important to understand the evolution of the library and its updates over time.
One of the advantages of React is that its core API has remained relatively stable in recent years. This provides a sense of continuity and allows developers to leverage their knowledge from previous versions. The conceptual foundation of React has remained intact, meaning that the skills acquired three or five years ago can still be applied today. Let’s take a step back and trace the history of React from its early versions to the recent ones. From React 0.x to React 18, numerous pivotal changes and enhancements have been made as follows: 1. React 0.14: In this version, the introduction of functional components allowed developers to utilize functions as components, simplifying the creation of basic UI elements. At that time, no one knew that now we would write only functional components and almost completely abandon class-based components.
2. React 15: With a new versioning scheme, the next update of React 15 brought a complete overhaul of the internal architecture, resulting in improved performance and stability.
3. React 16: This version, however, stands as one of the most notable releases in React’s history. It introduced hooks,a revolutionary concept that enables developers to use state and other React features without the need for class components. Hooks make code simpler and more readable, transforming the way developers write components.Additionally, React 16 introduced Fiber, a new reconciliation mechanism that significantly improved performance, especially when dealing with animations and complex UI structures.
4. React 17: This version focused on updating and maintaining compatibility with previous versions. It introduced a new JSX transform system.
5. React 18: This is the latest stable release, which continues the trajectory of improvement and emphasizes performance enhancements and additional features, such as the automatic batching of renders, state transitions, server components, and streaming server-side rendering.
Setting up a new React project There are several ways to create a React project when you are getting started. In this section, let's explore three common approaches: • Using web bundlers • Using frameworks • Using an online code editor
Using web bundlers Using a web bundler is an efficient way to create React projects, especially if you are building a Single-Page Application (SPA). Vite is known for its remarkable speed and ease of setup and use.
Using frameworks For real-world and commercial projects, it is recommended to use frameworks built on top of React. These frameworks provide additional features out of the box, such as routing and asset management (images, SVG files, fonts, etc.). They also guide you in organizing your project structure effectively, as frameworks often enforce specific file organization rules. Some popular React frameworks include Next.js, Gatsby, and Remix.
Online code editors Online code editors combine the advantages of web bundlers and frameworks but allow you to set up your React development environment in the cloud or right inside of the browser. This eliminates the need to install anything on your machine and lets you write and explore React code directly in your browser. While there are various online code editors available, some of the most popular options include CodeSandbox, StackBlitz, and Replit. These platforms provide a user-friendly interface and allow you to create, share, and collaborate on React projects without any local setup. To get started with an online code editor, you don’t even need an account. Simply follow this link on your browser:(https://codesandbox.io/p/sandbox/react-new?utm_source=dotnew). In a few seconds, you will see that CodeSandbox is ready to work with a template project, and a live preview of the editor is available directly in the browser tab. If you want to save your changes, then you need to create an account.Using online code editors is a convenient way to learn and experiment with React, especially if you prefer a browser-based development environment.

I fucking hate sparx maths
I hate how it's layed out, I hate how you have to get the answers right for it to register as you doing it (which is stupid as GCSEs aren't about getting all the answers right, it's about getting enough right to reach a decent mark), I hate how the question changes slightly if you get the answer wrong twice, which makes it even more of a pain to solve and I hate how my maths teacher keeps forcing this stupid fucking website on us and if I don't do all the questions and get them right in a week then I get a late homework, which has caused me to get a detention and waste my precious lunch time. She even expects us to be using it to revise in our own time and gets mad at us when we only use it to complete the mandatory homework and nothing else. Her logic is: if you don't get the answer right, watch the video even though the videos aren't that helpful and before you press the play button (doesn't automatically play) the thumnail has all the working out so watching the video is a waste of time but it doesn't register on her side. And if you don't get the answer right 4 times then you're expected to message her on microsoft teams with a screenshot and your working, but why would I bother wasting my time like that knowing she's not going to help.
And then the questions, oh the questions! They've prepously made all the questions images so you can't copy and paste the text into google and look it up on gauth maths (even though you could just type it out word for word, which I've done before) and some of these questions are just so stupid it's irratating.
a stationery shop orders a batch of pens from a factory. the factory could make the batch of pens in 20 days using 12 machines. due to a fault, only 8 machines were used for the first 9 days. all 12 machines were used from day 10 onwards. work out the total number of days taken to make the batch of pens.
I couldn't wrap my head around it so I typed this into chat gpt to get help. It's an AI, it's built on maths in it's code, surely it could figure it out. And yes, it is cheating but I don't fucking care anymore. It's actually quite helpful as it went through step by step on how to complete it, which was helpful, and then gave me the answer. I put it in. Marked it as wrong. I rounded it from 17.33 to 18 as I figured it must register the decimal as a day. Nope. Now the question's changed.
If anyone from school sees this then I'm fucked, but just in case they do:
maths teacher that I won't name: if a website is good then people will willingly use it regardless of if there's mandatory homework. If it sucks and it's mandatory then you end up with people like me cheating just to do the bare minimum and get it out of the way so I don't have to look at it for the rest of the week. Like how people willingly started to use cars after they realised they were a lot better then horses and carriges. I don't care if I get into trouble for cheating, I just want to not get a detention (which I know I will because no matter my troubles there's always questions that get marked wrong no matter what). If a student is thinking about learning to hack just to shut down the sparx maths servers then I think it's time to switch to a better resource cause nobody likes it.

Long post. Press j to skip.
I AM SICK OF THE STUPID AI DEBATES, does it imagine, is it based on copyrightable material, are my patterns in there?
That's not the point.
I briefly got into website design freelancing (less than 3 months) before burn out.
The main reason was that automation had begun for generating stylesheets in somewhat tasteful palettes, for automatically making html/xml (they really haven't learned to simplify and tidy code though, they just load 50 divs instead of one), for batch colourising design elements to match and savvy designers weren't building graphics from scratch and to spec unless it was their day job.
Custom php and database design died with the free bundled CMS packages that come with your host with massive mostly empty unused values.
No-one has talked about the previous waves of people automated out of work by website design generators, code generators, the fiverr atomisation of what would have been a designers job into 1 logo and a swatch inserted into a CMS by an unpaid intern. Reviews, tutorials, explanations and articles are generated by stealing youtube video captions, scraping fan sites and putting them on a webpage. Digitally processing images got automated with scripts stolen from fan creators who shared. Screencaps went from curated processed images made by a person to machine produced once half a second and uploaded indiscriminately. Media recaps get run into google translate and back which is why they often read as a little odd when you look up the first results.
This was people's work, some of it done out of love, some done for pay. It's all automated and any paid work is immediately copied/co-opted for 20 different half baked articles on sites with more traffic now. Another area of expertise I'd cultivated was deep dive research, poring over scans of magazines and analysing papers, fact checking. I manually checked people's code for errors or simplifications, you can get generators to do that too, even for php. I used to be an english-french translator.
The generators got renamed AI and slightly better at picture making and writing but it's the same concept.
The artists that designed the web templates are obscured, paid a flat fee by the CMS developpers, the CMS coders are obscured, paid for their code often in flat fees by a company that owns all copyright over the code and all the design elements that go with. That would have been me if I hadn't had further health issues, hiding a layer in one of the graphics or a joke in the code that may or may not make it through to the final product. Or I could be a proof reader and fact checker for articles that get barely enough traffic while they run as "multi snippets" in other publications.
The problem isn't that the machines got smarter, it's that they now encroach on a new much larger area of workers. I'd like to ask why the text to speech folks got a flat fee for their work for example: it's mass usage it should be residual based. So many coders and artists and writers got screwed into flat fee gigs instead of jobs that pay a minimum and more if it gets mass use.
The people willing to pay an artist for a rendition of their pet in the artist's style are the same willing to pay for me to rewrite a machine translation to have the same nuances as the original text. The same people who want free are going to push forward so they keep free if a little less special cats and translations. They're the same people who make clocks that last 5 years instead of the ones my great uncle made that outlived him. The same computer chips my aunt assembled in the UK for a basic wage are made with a lot more damaged tossed chips in a factory far away that you live in with suicide nets on the stairs.
There is so much more to 'AI' than the narrow snake oil you are being sold: it is the classic and ancient automation of work by replacing a human with a limited machine. Robot from serf (forced work for a small living)
It's a large scale generator just like ye olde glitter text generators except that threw a few pennies at the coders who made the generator and glitter text only matters when a human with a spark of imagination knows when to deploy it to funny effect. The issue is that artists and writers are being forced to gig already. We have already toppled into precariousness. We are already half way down the slippery slope if you can get paid a flat fee of $300 for something that could make 300k for the company. The generators are the big threat keeping folks afraid and looking at the *wrong* thing.
We need art and companies can afford to pay you for art. Gig work for artists isn't a safe stable living. The fact that they want to make machines to take that pittance isn't the point. There is money, lots of money. It's not being sent to the people who make art. It's not supporting artists to mess around and create something new. It's not a fight between you and a machine, it's a fight to have artists and artisans valued as deserving a living wage not surviving between gigs.

What Is an Automatic CNC Lathe?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, and a lathe is a machine used to rotate a workpiece against a cutting tool to create symmetrical parts—commonly cylindrical in shape. An Automatic CNC Lathe takes this concept further by integrating programmable automation into every process, from tool changes to complex machining tasks, allowing for uninterrupted operation and significantly reduced human intervention.
These machines are typically equipped with multiple axes and automated feeding systems that enable them to perform intricate operations like turning, drilling, grooving, and threading in a single cycle—often on a continuous production line.
How Does It Work?
At the core of any CNC lathe is its programming interface. Engineers use software such as G-code to set precise machining instructions. Once the design is loaded, the machine interprets these instructions and begins work on the raw material—often metal bars or rods—automatically aligning tools, adjusting speeds, and rotating the workpiece to produce the desired shape.
Automatic lathes are also fitted with robotic arms or bar feeders to load and unload materials, drastically minimizing downtime between operations. Additionally, modern CNC lathes are enhanced with touchscreens, remote monitoring capabilities, and integration with cloud-based systems for real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance.
Applications Across Industries
From aerospace and automotive to electronics and medical equipment, Automatic CNC Lathes are indispensable where tight tolerances and repeatability are essential. In aerospace, for example, they produce turbine shafts and high-performance fasteners; in medical device manufacturing, they handle delicate parts like bone screws and surgical instruments with micron-level precision.
The adaptability of CNC lathes also allows manufacturers to switch between different production tasks quickly, making them ideal for both mass production and small-batch custom fabrication.
Advantages of Automation
The key benefit of automation lies in its consistency and efficiency. Machines can run 24/7 with minimal errors, significantly cutting labor costs and production times. They also offer:
Enhanced precision: eliminating human error
Reduced material waste: due to optimized cutting paths
Improved workplace safety: by minimizing manual handling
Scalability: supporting both prototyping and high-volume manufacturing
Moreover, data from CNC systems can be analyzed to optimize machining parameters, anticipate tool wear, and streamline future production processes.
Challenges and Innovations
Despite its advantages, Automatic CNC Lathe technology comes with challenges. Initial setup costs are high, and skilled programmers are required to create and optimize machining paths. Additionally, certain complex shapes might still require secondary operations or specialized tooling.
To address these limitations, manufacturers are incorporating AI-driven software, real-time feedback loops, and multi-spindle configurations to boost flexibility and further shorten lead times. Innovations in hybrid machines—combining CNC lathing with additive manufacturing—are also on the horizon, promising even greater design freedom.
Conclusion
As industries continue to prioritize precision, automation, and efficiency, Automatic CNC Lathes have emerged as a cornerstone of advanced manufacturing. With digital intelligence and mechanical mastery working in tandem, these machines are not just shaping parts—they’re shaping the future.

4 Must-Have Candy Manufacturing Machines for Efficient Production
If you're a confectioner aiming to scale up candy production or boost efficiency, the right equipment makes all the difference. Whether you're crafting caramels, gummies, hard candies, or chocolate-coated treats, reliable candy manufacturing equipment helps you maintain consistency, reduce waste, and meet demand without compromising quality.
In this guide, we break down the top four machines every candy business needs to streamline operations and produce top-tier confections.
1. Candy Cooker (Batch or Continuous)
No matter your recipe, cooking sugar mixtures to precise temperatures is the foundation of every successful candy. From glucose syrups to fruit purées, proper heat control ensures flavor, texture, and color remain consistent across batches.
Why it matters:Undercooked candy can be sticky or unstable. Overcooked batches may crystalize or burn. The right candy cooker ensures repeatable results every time.
What to look for:
Accurate digital temperature controls
Vacuum cooking options for moisture control (ideal for gummies and soft candies)
Food-grade stainless steel construction
Choose batch cookers for flexibility and small batches, or continuous cookers for high-volume production
Pro Tip: If you manufacture both hard and soft confections, consider a dual-purpose cooker or modular setup.
2. Candy Depositor or Moulding Machine
The candy depositor is where your mixture takes shape — literally. Whether you're filling molds for gummies or forming chewy pieces, this machine ensures portion control and consistent product sizing.
Why it matters: Uniform size and weight ensure better packaging, setting, and quality control — and help keep your ingredient costs predictable.
What to look for:
Interchangeable mold and nozzle designs
Programmable portion sizes
Heated hoppers (prevents premature crystallization)
Compatibility with various consistencies — from viscous syrups to liquid centers
From tabletop depositors for small-batch candy makers to fully automated moulding systems, there’s a solution for every scale.
3. Cooling Tunnel or Cooling Cabinet
Once formed or coated, your candy must cool under controlled conditions. A cooling tunnel or cooling cabinet stabilizes the product, locking in texture and finish.
Why it matters: Improper cooling can cause chocolate bloom, sticky gummies, or deformed shapes. Temperature and humidity control are crucial at this stage.
What to look for:
Adjustable temperature and airflow settings
Multi-tier or conveyor-style layouts for high output
Easy-to-clean design to meet hygiene standards
Humidity control to prevent condensation and spoilage
Cooling is not just a post-production step — it’s a key quality control point in your candy line.
4. Candy Packaging Machine
Great candy deserves great presentation — and protection. Whether you sell retail-ready treats or bulk packs, the right candy wrapping machine or packaging system helps preserve freshness and appeal.
Why it matters: Modern packaging protects against moisture, oxygen, and tampering. It also improves shelf life and retail acceptance.

What is a Paste Filling Machine?
A Paste Filling Machine is a type of volumetric filling equipment designed specifically for viscous or semi-viscous products. Unlike standard liquid fillers, it accommodates materials that require pressure-assisted flow and precise dispensing. These machines are typically used for filling:
Toothpaste
Creams and gels
Ointments and balms
Adhesives
Gums and jellies
Cosmetic pastes
Sauces and condiments
The primary mechanism involves a piston system or rotary valve that draws the paste into a chamber and then pushes it out into the packaging container. The use of stainless-steel components makes the system highly durable and compliant with hygiene standards.
Working Principle of the Automatic Paste Filling Machine
The Automatic Paste Filling Machine from Lodha International LLP operates on the volumetric filling principle using a rotary valve-type piston mechanism. Here's how it works:
Material Loading: Product is loaded into a stainless-steel hopper.
Rotary Valve Activation: The rotary valve directs the paste into the piston chamber.
Piston Movement: The piston retracts to draw the paste and then pushes it forward.
Nozzle Dispensing: The material is dispensed through a positive shut-off nozzle to prevent dripping.
Container Handling: The conveyor belt positions each container precisely under the filling nozzle.
Lifting Mechanism: The lifting system adjusts container height to align with the nozzle.
This sequence repeats automatically, with adjustable parameters for volume, speed, and fill cycle.
Features of Lodha's Automatic Paste Filling Machine
Our Automatic Paste Filling Machine incorporates the following features:
SS-304 or SS-316 contact parts for enhanced durability
Rotary valve design for precision and drip-free operation
Positive shut-off nozzles
Easy-to-adjust fill volumes with stroke limiter
Conveyor system powered by A/C motors with variable drives
Pneumatic and electrical controls for accuracy

What is Amazon EMR architecture? And Service Layers
Tumblr media
Describe Amazon EMR architecture
The storage layer includes your cluster's numerous file systems. Examples of various storage options.
The Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is scalable and distributed. HDFS keeps several copies of its data on cluster instances to prevent data loss if one instance dies. Shutting down a cluster recovers HDFS, or ephemeral storage. HDFS's capacity to cache interim findings benefits MapReduce and random input/output workloads.
Amazon EMR improves Hadoop with the EMR File System (EMRFS) to enable direct access to Amazon S3 data like HDFS. The file system in your cluster may be HDFS or Amazon S3. Most input and output data are stored on Amazon S3, while intermediate results are stored on HDFS.
A disc that is locally attached is called the local file system. Every Hadoop cluster Amazon EC2 instance includes an instance store, a specified block of disc storage. Amazon EC2 instances only store storage volume data during their lifespan.
Data processing jobs are scheduled and cluster resources are handled via the resource management layer. Amazon EMR defaults to centrally managing cluster resources for multiple data-processing frameworks using Apache Hadoop 2.0's YARN component. Not all Amazon EMR frameworks and apps use YARN for resource management. Amazon EMR has an agent on every node that connects, monitors cluster health, and manages YARN items.
Amazon EMR's built-in YARN job scheduling logic ensures that running tasks don't fail when Spot Instances' task nodes fail due to their frequent use. Amazon EMR limits application master process execution to core nodes. Controlling active jobs requires a continuous application master process.
YARN node labels are incorporated into Amazon EMR 5.19.0 and later. Previous editions used code patches. YARN capacity-scheduler and fair-scheduler use node labels by default, with yarn-site and capacity-scheduler configuration classes. Amazon EMR automatically labels core nodes and schedules application masters on them. This feature can be disabled or changed by manually altering yarn-site and capacity-scheduler configuration class settings or related XML files.
Data processing frameworks power data analysis and processing. Many frameworks use YARN or their own resource management systems. Streaming, in-memory, batch, interactive, and other processing frameworks exist. Use case determines framework. Application layer languages and interfaces that communicate with processed data are affected. Amazon EMR uses Spark and Hadoop MapReduce mostly.
Distributed computing employs open-source Hadoop MapReduce. You provide Map and Reduce functions, and it handles all the logic, making parallel distributed applications easier. Map converts data to intermediate results, which are key-value pairs. The Reduce function combines intermediate results and runs additional algorithms to produce the final output. Hive is one of numerous MapReduce frameworks that can automate Map and Reduce operations.
Apache Spark: Spark is a cluster infrastructure and programming language for big data. Spark stores datasets in memory and executes using directed acyclic networks instead of Hadoop MapReduce. EMRFS helps Spark on Amazon EMR users access S3 data. Interactive query and SparkSQL modules are supported.
Amazon EMR supports Hive, Pig, and Spark Streaming. The programs can build data warehouses, employ machine learning, create stream processing applications, and create processing workloads in higher-level languages. Amazon EMR allows open-source apps with their own cluster management instead of YARN.
Amazon EMR supports many libraries and languages for app connections. Streaming, Spark SQL, MLlib, and GraphX work with Spark, while MapReduce uses Java, Hive, or Pig.
